The existing bridge was built in 1970 to provide access to homes, Millsite Golf course, Millsite State Park and the Manti Lasalle Mountains. J&T designed a replacement bridge to accommodate higher water flows that were creating safety issues during high flow events for the undersized existing bridge. In addition, the intersection of 800 west was upgraded and realigned for traffic safety and ease of turning movement for large vehicles.
